HDpiano.com is committed to protecting your privacy online. To further this commitment, we have adopted an Online Privacy Policy that guides how we collect, store, and use the information collected about you online.
HDpiano may request and/or collect information from you on a voluntary basis when you: register with us, or when you send questions or comments via e-mail to HDpiano.com. The requested information may include personal information such as your name and e-mail address.
HDpiano is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Younger learners may use HDpiano through a parent's or guardian's account. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact info@hdpiano.com and we will delete it.
If you save a score in one of our free games, such as Learn Note Names, we store the nickname you choose, your score, the level you reached and when you played. Your nickname, score and level appear on a public leaderboard that anyone can see. We never show your name or email address there; pick a nickname that does not identify you if you prefer. If you play without an account, your best score stays in your browser and is sent to us only when you create an account to save it. You can change your nickname on the game page at any time, and we remove nicknames that are offensive or pretend to be someone else. When you delete your account, your nickname, scores and leaderboard entries are deleted with it.
In order to keep in touch with you, we'll occasionally use your name and e-mail address to contact you with product information, updates, and special offers. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we do this only with your consent; elsewhere we rely on our legitimate interests. Every marketing email we send, wherever you are, has an unsubscribe link.
By allowing you to send e-mail to us, we are not attempting to collect any personal information about you. We will only use the personal information contained in your e-mail to respond to your specific inquiry or comments in the e-mail. Although we may retain your e-mail for a period of time, we will not use any personal information contained in your e-mail for any purpose other than responding to your specific inquiry or comments. We will only collect information to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to fulfill your requests and our legitimate business objectives.
If you are receiving e-mails or regular mail and at a later date you choose to opt out and have your name removed from the e-mailing list, you can unsubscribe at the bottom of any email or email info@hdpiano.com with the subject "REMOVE."
If you are signed in, you can choose to receive push notifications on a device, such as reminders and news about new lessons. We only send them after you turn them on and your browser or device asks for, and you give, permission. When you do, we store a device token that lets us reach that browser or device, together with your account ID, the type of device and browser, whether you use HDpiano as an installed app, and when the token was created and last refreshed. We use this only to deliver notifications to you and to keep the list of your devices up to date. Notifications are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service, which processes the token to deliver them. When you open a notification, we record that it was opened through our analytics tools, subject to your cookie choices, to understand which notifications are useful. If you turn on practice reminders, we store the days, time and time zone you choose so we can send them at the right time.
You can stop push notifications at any time with the Notifications switch in your My Account preferences, or in your browser or device settings. We delete a device’s token when you turn notifications off on it, when you sign out on it, when the device tells us the token is no longer valid, and when you delete your account.
We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies in three groups:
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and marketing cookies stay off until you accept them. Elsewhere they are on by default. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to turn analytics and marketing off, and they start off for you too, unless you have already made a different choice here. When analytics or marketing is off, Google’s tags still load in a limited mode that sets no analytics or advertising cookies.
You can change your choice at any time from Your Privacy Choices at the bottom of our pages. We remember your choice in a cookie called hd_consent for 180 days, and ask you again if this policy changes in a way that affects it. If you turn a group off, anything already running on the page you are on may keep running until you leave or reload that page.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
HDpiano.com may also collect your IP address for safety and security purposes. An IP address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your computer every time you log on to the Internet.
HDpiano.com may also track your view history on our website for use in our recommendation algorithm and stats tracking.
Any personal information that you disclose while visiting our website is collected by HD PIANO LLC and used in the manner described above.
We use third party service providers to operate our website and deliver our service. These companies process or store your information on our behalf, for the purposes described below. Our advertising and affiliate partners (Google Ads, Meta and Impact.com) may also use it for their own purposes, as described in the California section. Some of them — in particular our analytics and advertising providers — receive information about how you use our site so that we can measure and improve our service and our marketing.
We use the following third parties:
We ensure all service providers acting on our behalf act in accordance with this privacy notice.
We process your information to provide your account and subscription (performance of a contract), to show your nickname and scores on game leaderboards when you choose to save a score, to keep the service secure and improve it (our legitimate interests), to send newsletters (your consent in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, which you can withdraw at any time; our legitimate interests elsewhere; every marketing email we send, wherever you are, has an unsubscribe link), to send push notifications when you turn them on (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time), to set analytics and marketing cookies (your consent in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland; our legitimate interests elsewhere, and you can opt out at any time), and to keep payment and tax records (legal obligation). The controller of your information is HD PIANO LLC, 1930 Village Center Circle #3-3038, Las Vegas, NV 89134.
Your information may be processed in the United States by us or the third parties we use. Where it is transferred out of the UK or the EU, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
All personal data collected is transferred and stored securely, using industry standard encryption protocols, and approved transfer mechanisms. Please note however, that we cannot guarantee that the measures we maintain will guarantee the security of the information.
Under GDPR you have the right to access personal information that HDpiano.com processes about you.
You can request from us information about:
You may also request from us the following:
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
If you have an account with us, you can delete it yourself at any time from My Account. We will ask you to confirm with a code sent to your email address. Deleting your account permanently erases your account record, your favorites, your watch history and your lesson progress, and signs you out of every device. If you have an active or paused subscription you will need to cancel it first.
Some information is retained after account deletion where we have a legal or contractual reason to keep it — for example records relating to payments, gifts and referrals, and a record that the account was deleted. We also keep a one-way hash of your email address so that we can tell a previously used free trial from a new one; this cannot be used to recover your address.
You may also request we action your rights by contacting us at HD PIANO LLC, 1930 Village Center Circle #3-3038 Las Vegas, NV 89134. Or by emailing us at info@HDpiano.com.
To ensure your data is protected, if we receive a request from you to exercise your rights, we will ask you to verify your identity before acting on the request.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some of our advertising and affiliate cookies (Google Ads, Meta and Impact.com) may count as “sharing” personal information under California law. You can opt out through Your Privacy Choices at the bottom of our pages, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out.
California residents may also ask to know, correct or delete the personal information we hold about them. You can delete your account yourself in My Account; for anything else, email info@hdpiano.com. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
